Univers Launches Global Impact AI Lab with AMD, Microsoft, and NUS to Drive the Future of AI Innovation
Singapore, October 28, 2025 — Univers has officially unveiled the Global Impact AI Lab (IAL), a groundbreaking initiative designed to accelerate enterprise innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Edge technologies. The lab is established in partnership with AMD, Microsoft, and the National University of Singapore (NUS), and is proudly supported by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore.
The Global Impact AI Lab aims to serve as a powerful platform that integrates technological expertise, governance insights, and academic research to help enterprises develop scalable and sustainable AI-driven solutions. Through a robust incubation program, the IAL will focus on advancing innovation across three key efficiency vectors:
- Energy Efficiency – optimizing AI and IoT systems for lower energy consumption.
- Operational Efficiency – streamlining processes through automation and data intelligence.
- System Efficiency – enhancing infrastructure performance with cutting-edge Edge technologies.
The official launch took place at the One Univers Event on October 28, officiated by Mr. Tan Kiat How, who highlighted Singapore’s commitment to fostering strong public-private partnerships. He emphasized that initiatives like the Global Impact AI Lab play a pivotal role in strengthening Singapore’s position as a global hub for digital transformation and AI excellence.
With collaborations from leading tech innovators such as AMD and Microsoft, and the academic prowess of NUS, Univers is set to create an ecosystem that fuels responsible AI growth and digital sustainability.
