Cineverse Launches Matchpoint® Creative Labs to Power AI-Driven Creative for FAST and CTV Advertising
Cineverse, an independent entertainment technology company and studio, has announced the launch of Matchpoint® Creative Labs (MCL)—a new in-house creative agency designed to meet the rapidly growing demand for premium video advertising across Connected TV (CTV), Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels, and ad-supported streaming services.
Built to support the evolving streaming ecosystem, Matchpoint Creative Labs focuses on delivering broadcast-quality, motion-first creative tailored specifically for modern CTV environments. The launch reflects a broader industry shift as brands continue reallocating advertising budgets from traditional linear television and static display formats toward streaming platforms.
Rising Demand for CTV and FAST Advertising
According to recent data from MNTN, CTV ad spend is projected to surpass linear TV advertising for the first time by 2028, reaching nearly $46 billion. Complementing this trend, Nielsen reports that 66% of marketers plan to increase their OTT and CTV ad spend in 2025, up significantly from 44% in 2024.
Despite this rapid growth, many FAST channels and ad-supported streaming services lack the internal creative infrastructure traditionally found in legacy broadcast and cable On-Air Promotions departments. Matchpoint Creative Labs was created to close this gap.
Broadcast-Grade Creative Built for Streaming Platforms
Operating within the Cineverse Technology Group, MCL combines creative strategy, design, and production with technology-enabled, scalable workflows. The unit specializes in producing native CTV video ads that align with how audiences consume content across streaming platforms.
In addition to premium video advertising, Matchpoint Creative Labs develops motion-based creative assets for a wide range of use cases, including:
- On-air promotional spots
- Channel IDs and branding packages
- Special channel stunts and tentpole programming
- Visual assets optimized for FAST and streaming environments
These services are currently deployed across Cineverse’s owned and operated streaming properties and are now available to third-party streaming services, FAST operators, and brand partners.
Generative AI Meets Human-Led Creativity
At the core of MCL’s offering is a hybrid creative model that blends traditional creative development—storyboarding, concepting, and human-written scripts—with generative AI-enabled workflows. This approach allows creative assets to be produced, versioned, and deployed quickly and cost-effectively across multiple campaigns and channels.
The use of generative AI enables faster turnaround times and greater creative scale without sacrificing quality—an increasingly critical advantage for advertisers operating in the fast-moving streaming economy.
New Revenue Opportunities for Cineverse and Matchpoint Clients
Cineverse expects Matchpoint Creative Labs to generate more than $4.5 million in high-margin revenue in its first year, driven by demand from both new and existing Matchpoint customers.
SaaS clients already using the Matchpoint platform can now access these premium creative services without the need to build internal teams. Meanwhile, companies with existing creative departments can use MCL to supplement and scale their in-house capabilities. The Creative Labs team is already working with clients to pilot advanced generative AI-powered creative solutions.
Supporting Cineverse Streaming Networks
Initially, Matchpoint Creative Labs will support Cineverse’s own streaming brands, including SCREAMBOX (horror), RetroCrush (classic anime), and Dove Channel (women’s entertainment). The unit will play a key role in channel branding, programming promotion, and audience engagement across these networks.
Expanding Cineverse’s Role in the Streaming Economy
With the launch of Matchpoint Creative Labs, Cineverse extends its footprint beyond entertainment technology and deeper into the creative services ecosystem, positioning itself at the intersection of CTV advertising, FAST channel operations, on-demand streaming, and AI-powered content creation.
